S&S Policy of Nondiscrimination

The S and S Consolidated Independent School District will comply with all federal statutes relating to nondiscrimination which include, but are not limited to, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (42 U.S.C. 2000d et seq.), which prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color or national origin: Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, as amended (20 U.S.C. 1581 et seq.), which prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex. Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended (29 U.S.C. 794), Subtitle A, Title II of the Americans With Disabilities Act (42 U.S.C. 12131-12134) and the Department of Justice implementing regulation, 28 CFR Part 35, which prohibit state and local governments form refusing to allow a person with a qualified disability form participating in a service, program, or activity simply because the person has a qualified disability. The Age Discrimination Act of 1974, as amended (42 U.S.C.6101 Et Seq.), which prohibits discrimination on the basis of age; and the Department of Justice Nondiscrimination Regulations, 28 CFR, Part 42, Subparts C, D, and G.
